COSTFORD - Institutional Projects
COSTFORD’s institutional clients are often educational facilities financed by Local, State and/or Centre funding. It’s longest on-going project is the steady expansion of the campus of the Centre for Development Studies (CDS) in Thiruvananthapuram, begun in the early 1970s by Dr. K.N. Raj with Laurie Baker and continuing with COSTFORD’s most recent completion of a new library tower, remodeling and expansion of the guest quarters, and expansion of the canteen along with remodeling of its kitchen. CDS, with its decades-long focus on academic study of applied economics and social sciences for enhancement of life in Kerala and beyond, and in its partnership with COSTFORD’s design and construction expertise, embodies the essence of building a better society: refining, expanding, and creating linked components of societal structure.
Other public buildings include those commissioned by various combinations of Centre, State, and Local entities primarily for administrative facilities and educational institutions.
